Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Thursday’s trading session on a positive note.
The DFM’s general index edged up by 3.39 points, or 0.12%, to 2,888.39 points.
Trading volume reached 98.508 million shares and was exchanged through 2,109 transactions at a turnover of AED 187.472 million.
Market capitalisation gained AED 498 million and closed the session at AED 375.866 billion.
The banks sector added 0.32% and the real estate sector inched up 0.05%.
On the other hand, the services sector went down 0.52%, the consumer staples sector shed 0.38%, and the investment and financial services sector inched down 0.02%.
Dubai Islamic Bank’s (DIB) stock rose 0.93% to AED 5.40 and Emirates NBD shed 0.37% to AED 13.40, while Emaar Properties remained stable.
