Cairo – Mubasher: Revenues generated by Chinese technology firm Lenovo Group Ltd in Europe, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and North and West Africa accounted for 25% of its total revenues which amounted to $51 billion for the fiscal year ended 31 March.
The Chinese, North American, and South American markets have made up 21% and 32% of the tech firm’s total revenues, Rony Mezeraani, general manager of Lenovo for Levant, Egypt, and North Africa, said in a press conference on Tuesday.
Personal computers and tablets represented 76% of the company’s revenues, while smart phones and data centre services made up 13% and 11%, respectively, Mezeraani told Mubasher.
Lenovo’s personal computer segment has a market share of 25% in the UAE, he added.
In Egypt, the company’s tablet segment holds a market share of 38%, with plans to reach 40%, Ola El-Dib, Lenovo’s consumer and commercial country manager for Egypt and Levant, said.
