TASI ends Thursday in green; turnover rises to SAR 8.5bn
SABIC registered the highest trading value of SAR 1.29 billion

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) continued its gains for the second successive session on Thursday, rising by 1.35%, or 105.59 points, to close at 7,926.82 points.  

TASI’s turnover skyrocketed to SAR 8.5 billion on Thursday from SAR 2.65 billion in the previous session, while the market’s traded volume climbed to 260.85 million shares, compared to 103.87 million on Wednesday.

The telecommunications sector topped the gainers after adding 2.84%, while the basic materials and banks sectors climbed 1.92% and 1.17%, respectively.

On the other hand, the media sector headed the fallers with 1.89%, followed by the software and services sector which declined by 0.96%.

Tourism Enterprise Company’s (Shams) stock spearheaded the risers and surged by 10%, while Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company’s (Amiantit) stock led the fallers and slid by 5.86%.

Saudi Basic Industries Corp’s (SABIC) stock registered the highest trading value of SAR 1.29 billion, while Alinma Bank’s stock led TASI in terms of trading volume with 20.53 million shares.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, edged down 1.8 points, or 0.05%, to close at 3,835.97 points.

Development Works Food Company’s (DWF) stock was Nomu’s worst performer after falling by 0.68%.
