Dubai – Mubasher: Takaful Emarat Insurance, listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), announced that its board of directors has approved to appoint Wael Al Sharif as the company’s CEO.

This decision is subject to relevant authorities’ approvals based on the recommendation of the Remuneration Committee, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.

The board also accepted the resignation of Mohammad Al Hawari from his position as the company’s managing director, the company noted.

On 23 September, Takaful Emarat said that its managing director Mohammad Al Hawari resigned.

It is worth noting that Takaful Emarat Insurance previously announced the appointment of Tammam Abdullah as acting CEO effective from 22 August 2019 after the former CEO Fadi Jawdat Hindi resigned.
