Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia will start issuing tourist visa as of 28 September, chairman of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, Ahmad Al-Khatib, stated, according to Saudi Gazette.

Issuance of the new electronic visa will take seven minutes and it will benefit tourists from 49 countries, Al-Khatib added.

“The total cost for a multiple re-entry tourist is SAR 440 for a period of one year, and this includes SAR 300 government fee plus charges for health insurance, tax, and transaction fee,” Saudi Gazette reported.

The new visa will enable tourists to stay in Saudi Arabia for a maximum of 90 days during a year. It will enable women unaccompanied by a male relative to perform Umrah. However, non-Muslims will not be allowed to visit Makkah and Madinah.
