Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat) announced it has showcased innovative solutions under the theme of ‘5G-A World without limits’ at the GITEX Technology Week 2019 being held in Dubai.
At the GITEX, Etisalat has presented its 5G-powered ambulance that illustrates the contribution of technology in emergency services, according to a press release.

The telecom company displayed 5G-connected cloud gaming as well as a remote driving experience such as a F1 racer with virtual reality.
The company has also showcased advanced robotic technologies at the exhibition including MELTANT’ developed by MELTIN that imitates the complex finger movements of humans in a wire-driven manner and FUSION-robot backpack developed by Japan’s Keio University.

Furthermore, other robotic technologies including StockBot & Tiago, RB-KAIROS, ANYmal, and TeleRetail has been presented at the exhibition, Etisalat highlighted.
Etisalat also brings Furhat, the world’s most advanced social robot, and the humanoid robots Selma and Owen to the event.

Ahmed Bin Ali, Group Senior Vice President - Corporate Communications at Etisalat, said: “Etisalat’s presence at GITEX this year is special as the 5G revolution is here bringing in the next wave of digital transformation and innovation. Visitors will be able to experience 5G and future technologies that is going to intensify and disrupt the way we live and work falling in line with our strategy and Etisalat’s theme ‘5G A World without limits.”

The 39th edition of GITEX Technology Week 2019 is taking place from 6 to 10 October 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
It is worth noting that the UAE was ranked the first in the Middle East region and the fourth globally in terms of launching the 5G network, the Global Connectivity Index (GCI) showed based on Carphone Warehouse.
