Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Telecom Co (STC) has increased the number of 5G-powered sites across Saudi Arabia, putting the kingdom among the world’s leading countries adopting the new technology, CEO Nasser Bin Sulaiman Al Nasser said.

The kingdom’s support to the telecom sector has contributed to the development and the growth of the sector and the improvement of its infrastructure in record time, Al Nasser added during a meeting held on the sidelines of the GITEX Technology Week 2019 in Dubai, according to a statement.

Serving 16 million customers, STC's incubator InspireU supports 28 projects with total investments of SAR 60 million and a market capitalisation of SAR 300 million, the top official revealed.

Senior vice president for institutional affairs at STC, Abdullah Al Kanhal, referred to the role played by InspireU in the promotion of innovative projects launched by young men and women.
