Mubasher: US natural gas storage built up by 98 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in the week ended 4 October, to a total of 3,415 Bcf, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said.

Stockpiles were 472 Bcf higher than past year’s figure, and they were 9 Bcf below the five-year average of 3,415 Bcf.

Following the release of the data, Nymex natural gas futures surged by 1.07% to $2.26 per million British thermal units (MMBtu).
