Cairo- Mubasher: The net profit of Edita Food Industries surged by 42% year-on-year over the period from January to September 2019 on higher sales, the consolidated financials revealed.
The profits totalled EGP 285.2 million during the nine-month period in 2019, up from EGP 200.4 million a year earlier, including minority shareholders’ rights, Edita reported on Thursday.
Sales grew to EGP 2.9 billion in the January-September 2019 period from EGP 2.69 billion in the same period last year.
As regards the standalone financials, the company registered a profit worth EGP 252.13 million in the nine-month period in 2019 when compared to EGP 141.3 million in the corresponding period in 2018.
On a quarterly basis, Edita recorded a profit of EGP 117.3 million during the third quarter of 2019, up from EGP 97.6 million in the corresponding quarter in 2018.
During the six-month period ended 30 June, the company’s net profits surged to EGP 167.8 million, compared to EGP 102.7 million in the year-ago period, including minority shareholders’ rights.
