Dubai – Mubasher: United Foods Company (UFC) reported a 71.9% increase in profits over the first nine-month of 2019 to AED 23.504 million, up from AED 13.672 million a year earlier.

Earnings per share (EPS) reached AED 0.78 in the January-September period of the same year, against AED 0.45 a year earlier, according to a bourse filing on Monday.    

Net sales decreased to AED 291.062 million in the nine-month period of the same year, from AED 345.122 million in the year-ago period.  

As for the third quarter (Q3) of 2019, net profits registered AED 5.263 million, 61.8% higher than the AED 3.253 million recorded in the same quarter in 2018.

EPS rose by 54.5% to AED 0.17 in the July-September 2019 period when compared to AED 0.11 in Q3-18.

Net sales dropped to AED 84.090 million in Q3-19 from AED 99.512 million in Q3-18.
