INJAZ Al-Arab celebrates entrepreneurship competition winners
The Forsa team from Palestine won the Company of the Year award for the High School track

Mubasher: INJAZ Al Arab concluded its 13th annual entrepreneurship competition in Oman, which saw over 80 students across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) compete for the Company of the Year, Product of the Year, and Social Impact awards.

INJAZ Al Arab hosted over 400 people including senior government officials, ambassadors and esteemed public figures at the awards ceremony.

This year’s competition saw the participation of 19 teams from Oman, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Tunisia, Palestine, Morocco, Algeria, Qatar, and Yemen.

The Soray Salti Company of the Year was awarded to Mahya from Oman won for the University track and Forsa from Palestine for the High School track.

Meanwhile, Product of the Year award went to Al Fazza from Bahrain for the university track and Small Brains from Morocco for the High School track

The Social Impact of the Year award was awarded to Hive from Lebanon for the university track and Seuse from Kuwait for the High School track.

The Citi Client Focus Award was won by Forsa from INJAZ Palestine and Balda Tayba from INJAZ Yemen.

The FedEx Access Award went to Small Brains from INJAZ Morocco, and the MBC Al Amal Pitch of the Year was won by Small Brains from INJAZ Palestine and Point from INJAZ Saudi Arabia.

The Boeing Business Challenge was won by Al Fazza from INJAZ Bahrain and the MetLife Innovation Award was awarded to Mahya from INJAZ Oman and Small Brains from INJAZ Morocco.

The Investcorp Value Creation Award went to Point from INJAZ Saudi Arabia, while the Mastercard Excellence in Technology Award went to Learn and Play from INJAZ Tunisia and Small Brains from INJAZ Morocco.

“The Middle East is home to a pool of motivated entrepreneurial talent who are striving to be the leaders of tomorrow. Our annual competition provides a platform to aspirational young Arabs to instil essential business and leadership skills and celebrate innovation and creativity,” said INJAZ Al Arab CEO, Akef Aqrabawi.

The annual Young Arab Entrepreneurs Competition was introduced in 2007, the INJAZ AL-Arab competition aims to nurture the entrepreneurial skills of the Arab youth and help create future job opportunities.

The annual competition follows the completion of individual country rounds and closes six months of training in work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship based on INJAZ Al-Arab’s company program.
