Cairo – Mubasher: Orascom Investment Holding (OIH) announced the appointment of Hisham Siblini as chief operating officer (COO) for its Lebanese unit, Orascom Telecom Lebanon, and its managed operation in Lebanon's Mobile Interim Company 1 (Alfa).  

A newly-established operations department that manages all commercial, technology, and customer service activities will be headed by Siblini, the company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Tuesday.

Earlier in November, the company’s board of directors approved the resignation of its CEO Tamer El-Mahdi and the appointment of Naguib Sawiris as the new CEO and managing director.

It is noteworthy that during the first half of 2019, the company incurred net losses of EGP 153.4 million, up from EGP 141.2 million in H1-18, including minority shareholders’ rights.
