Dubai – Mubasher: DP World signed a partnership agreement with the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), a Swiss-Italian firm, to attract a million tourist to Dubai over the next five years.

The parties have agreed to cut carbon emissions of MSC’s ships heading to Dubai, according to the official portal of Dubai Government.

Around 100,000 tourists are forecast to arrive at Port Rashid during the year. This will help boost the tourism sector and attract more vacationers particularly during the winter season.

Competent authorities are working towards achieving Dubai’s 2020 vision by attracting 20 million visitors and increasing the emirate’s hotel portfolio by 36,000 rooms to reach 140,000 rooms as well as offering credit facilities to investors to draw capital to the sector and create new investment opportunities.
