Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s National Organization for Military Production (NOMP) has signed an agreement with China Poly Group Corporation for the building of a tyre manufacturing plant in Egypt.

Under the contract, both parties will cooperate in manufacturing different types of tyres, Ahram Online reported on Saturday.

The new plant is expected to produce around three million tyres per year, contributing to the reduction of Egypt’s car tyre imports, which recorded $186 million in 2018.

Founded in 1992, China Poly Group Corporation is a state-owned company operating in more than 100 countries in various fields including international trade, engineering services, and real estate development.
