Riyadh – Mubasher: Filling and Packing Materials Manufacturing Company (FIPCO) announced that its subsidiary, FPC Industries Company, has obtained an accreditation certificate for its fire-retardant industrial fabrics from the Pilgrims Housing Project in Mina, Makkah.

The Pilgrims Housing Project is one of the projects of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).

The industrial fire-resistant fabrics will be used in building tents, shades and other Hajj-related purposes, according to the company’s statement to the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul).

The certificate was obtained after passing all necessary tests from the project consultant and obtaining required quality certificates from US and European accredited laboratories.

A total of 11 quality certificates were obtained from specialized authorities, the most important of which are ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, flame-retardant and a certificate of using environmentally friendly materials in manufacturing (REACH).

The pilgrims housing project in Mina is the largest project in the world that consumes high-quality fire-retardant fabrics (PTFE).

This type of product is characterized by enduring high temperatures up to 700 degrees Celsius, and isolates heat and dust-resistant by a greater percentage than other fabrics, in addition to a life span between 25 and 30 years.
