Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) announced that a new tax mobile application will be released in January 2020.

The new app will allow taxpayers to check the registration status of their companies and inquire about tax offices across all governorates in the country, Abdel Azim Hussein, head of ETA, said in a statement on Thursday.

In addition, the tax authority revealed that taxpayers who fail to submit their monthly valued-added tax (VAT) declarations will be fined EGP 500 million in the first instance and EGP 2,500 in each following instance.
