Banks will resume work on Thursday
Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that banks will be closed on Wednesday, 1 January 2020, on the occasion of the New Year.
Banks will resume work on Thursday, 2 January, the CBE said in a statement on Sunday.
The holiday comes on the occasion of the end of the fiscal year on 31 December for most banks operating in Egypt.
