ADX closes Thursday up; market cap adds AED 5bn
The trading volume recorded 44.97 million shares on Thursday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Thursday’s session in the green zone as it went up by 1.12% or 56.34 points, closing at 5,075.69 points.

The market’s liquidity amounted to AED 173.14 million after 44.97 million shares were exchanged through 1,503 transactions.

The market cap value reached AED 522.19 billion, up by AED 5 billion when compared to AED 516.45 billion in the previous session.

Moreover, the real estate segment was up by 2.68%, followed by the banks and the energy sectors, which added 1.34% and 1.31%, respectively.

Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) was the top gainer with 12%, whereas Methaq Takaful Insurance Company led the decliners with 8.64%.

Emirates Telecommunication Group (Etisalat) achieved the highest turnover of AED 33.45 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock through the exchange of 13.17 million shares.

The leading stock of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) increased by 2.26%, followed by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) with 1.67%.
