Mubasher: Oil futures fell at Friday’s settlement, plummeting 6.4% for the week.  

February Nymex WTI lost $0.52, or 0.9%, to close at $59.04 per barrel.

Baker Hughes reported a third weekly decline in the number of active US rigs drilling for oil. Active US rigs decreased by 11 to 659 this week.
