ADX maintains upward performance on Wednesday
Aldar Properties was the most active stock with 16.87 million shares

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) inched up by 0.11% or 5.43 points to 5,174.05 points by the end of Wednesday’s session, keeping its positive performance in the prior session.

The number of traded shares reached 43.19 million exchanged through 1,266 transactions at a liquidity of AED 137.45 million.

The market cap value gained around AED 2.08 billion, reaching AED 533.07 billion from AED 530.99 billion in the previous session.

The energy and telecommunication sectors rose by 0.60% and 0.48%, respectively, while the banks segment was the only decliner with 0.19%.

International Holdings Company was the top gainer with 9.61%, while Ras Al Khaimah Co. for White Cement and Construction Materials (RAK White Cement) led the losers with 10%.

Meanwhile, Aldar Properties was the most active stock with 16.87 million shares traded at a value of AED 37.87 million.

As for the blue chips, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) rose by 0.50%, followed by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) with 0.36%. In the meantime, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) was the only decliner with 0.26%.
