Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has completed 17% of Al Ain rainwater disposal project being built at a total value of AED 119.3 million, in cooperation with Al Ain City Municipality, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported on Wednesday. 

The project is being constructed in three phases to limit the risk of flooding in three of Al Ain's valleys.

The first phase includes the collection of information, data, and statistics on the amount of rainwater, valleys, and dams and the creation of typographic surveys for the locations of valleys and dams in the region.  

During the second phase, a geographical database and a hydraulic model are created to study rainwater movement, while the third phase is designed to develop programmes and engineering solutions to monitor flood water.

It is noteworthy to mention that Al Ain City Municipality announced in June its plans to launch infrastructure development projects in the city.
