Juniper Networks revenue rises 4% in 2019

Mubaser: Juniper Networks reported preliminary financial results for the three months and fiscal year ended 31 December 2019.

During last year, the company’s net revenues decreased by 4% year-on-year (YoY) to $4.445 billion.

As for the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2019, net revenues increased by 2% YoY to around $1.21 billion.

Commenting on the results, Juniper’s CEO, Rami Rahim said: “We returned to year-over-year growth during the December quarter and saw encouraging trends across various areas of our business, including record Enterprise sales, double-digit year-over-year growth in the Cloud, solid momentum with Mist, and another quarter of strength in our services organization.”

For the first quarter (Q1) of 2020, the company expects an increase in operating expense due to the reset of variable compensation and the typical seasonal increase of fringe costs.

Juniper forecasts a tax rate on its worldwide earnings in 2020 to be around 18-20%.

Moreover, the company’s Board of Directors announced a 5% increase in quarterly cash dividends to $0.20 per share to be paid on 23 March 2020.
