EGX ends Monday down for 2nd session in row
Market capitalisation dropped by EGP 2.02 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a negative note for the second session in a row, with its main EGX30 index edging down by 0.08% to 13,878 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI fell by 0.3% to 1,265 points, while the broader EGX100 index declined by 0.16% to 1,383 points.

Similarly, the equal-weighted EGX50 index went down by 0.46% to 1,912 points.

Market capitalisation dropped by EGP 2.02 billion to close at EGP 704.08 billion on Monday from EGP 706.1 billion on Sunday.

Trading volume amounted to 95.48 million securities exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.1 billion through around 16,980 transactions.

Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 29.14 million and EGP 40.36 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 69.5 million.
