Mubasher: The largest Arabic news aggregator Nabd has entered into a partnership agreement with the United Nations (UN).

Under the deal, the UN will be able to widen the reach of its Arabic news articles to Nabd’s 20 million users, according to a statement on Monday.

This move is part of Nabd’s efforts to foster its cooperation with international publishers and organisations, diversify its content, and enable non-profit organisations to reach Arabic readers, CEO of Nabd, Abdur-Rahman El-Sayed, noted.

The “collaboration brings Arabic-language UN-related news to new audiences, providing up-to-date information on breaking developments and comprehensive updates on the work of the organisation toward achieving its Sustainable Development Goals,” director of department of global communications’ (DGC) news and media division, Hua Jiang, pointed out.

As the main source of referrals in the Middle East, Nabd has partnered with several international publishers, such as BBC Arabic, enabling the news publisher to expand its reach and obtain a new perspective on audience needs, head of daily output at BBC, Mohamed Yehia said.
