Cairo – Mubasher: Castle Development signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Schneider Electric Egypt to provide energy management and automation solutions to its Castle Landmark project in the New Administrative Capital.

Schneider Electric Egypt will provide innovative solutions for energy management and eco-friendly power products at Castle Development’s flagship projects, according to a statement on Monday.

“Schneider Electric Egypt’s services will include electricity, HVAC, water, gas, data networks, data centers, traffic, as well as security and command operation/control center at Castle Landmark; Castle Development’s flagship project that uses solar energy to power 70% of its total area.”

With an investment of EGP 5 billion, Castle Landmark has been launched in 2018 in partnership with El Makassa. The development spans over an area of 43 acres, 81% of which is green open areas.

The CEO of Castle Development Ahmed Mansour said the collaboration “will contribute to our vision of building distinct and different products for smart cities, as well as support our efforts towards achieving environmental sustainability by using the elements from the environment effectively.”

The deputy general manager of Schneider Electric in the North Africa and Levant, Fouad Zayed, commented, “We hope, in cooperation with Castle Development, to provide premium solutions in order to achieve environmental sustainability, as well as improve efficiency in the use, distribution, and management of energy.”
