ADX down on Thursday; market cap reaches AED 528bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Thursday’s trading session at 5,033.15 points, down 0.80% or 40.67 points, unlike its upward performance on Wednesday, 19 February.

A total of 31.03 million shares were exchanged through 1,390 transactions at a value of AED 147.77 million.

 The market cap value retreated by around AED 3.62 billion to AED 528.36 billion from AED 531.98 billion during the previous session.

Meanwhile, the telecom sector headed the decliners with 0.37%, while the real estate segment led the risers with 0.01%.

AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company came on top of the red zone with 5.80%, while Ras Al Khaimah Ceramics (RAK Ceramics) led the green zone with 0.54%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), down 1.22%, posted the highest turnover of AED 57.28 million, while Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution), up 0.33%, recorded the highest trading volume of 4.55 million shares.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) hit the top of the losing blue chips with 1.56%.
