Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s gas market activities regulatory authority announced the new tariff for transporting natural gas through the national natural gas grid.

The authority, chaired by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla, approved a transport tariff of 37.5 cents per MBtu, up from a previous 29 cents, according to a ministry statement,

The decision comes as part of policies to regularly liberate the gas market according to international standards, in line with Egypt’s strategy to become a regional energy hub and a major center for gas and oil trade.
