One of the new cases was among those who returned from Iran lately, while the second contacted a previously confirmed case arriving from Azerbaijan, the ministry’s official spokesperson Abdullah Al Sanad explained.

The other two cases are Kuwaiti citizens who came from Egypt, he revealed, adding that all patients are receiving adequate medical care.

On 9 March, Kuwait’s government extended closure of all schools and universities for additional two weeks until 26 March as a precaution amid the fast-spreading virus.
