Dubai – Mubasher: Emaar Properties confirmed the news about the temporary suspension of bookings in three of its hotels amid rising concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).  

The company’s subsidiary Emaar Hospitality Group “decided to prioritise assurance of the highest levels of guest experience within a select number of core assets,” according to a statement to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) on Thursday. 

The company affirmed that all its services at these properties such as restaurants, pools, and gyms will operate at fully capacity.

Globally, the number of cases of COVID-19 exceeded 118,000 in 114 countries and the death toll reached 4,291.

It is noteworthy to mention that in 2019, Emaar Properties reported net profits of AED 6.200 billion, compared to AED 6.139 billion ($1.671 billion) in 2018.
