ADX closes trading halls amid coronavirus outbreak
ADX has closed its trading halls across the UAE

UAE – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has closed its trading halls across the UAE starting from Sunday until further notice, as part of the precautionary measures taken in the country to face the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

This decision follows the instructions of the World Health Organisation (WHO) to prevent large public gatherings to contain the virus, according to a press release by ADX on Sunday.

Commenting on the closure, the chief executive of ADX, Khalifa Al Mansouri, said: “Trading operations will not be affected by the closure of the trading halls as ADX offers various channels traditional as well as digital from which investors can trade.”

"To ensure maximum protection and apply restrictions of movement, we recommend that our clients use our digital investor service integrated platform ‘Sahmi’ that empowers users to carry out all daily operations online," Al Mansouri added.
