Kuwait C. bank sells KWD 200m bonds; oversubscribed 13.58 times
The total demand volume recorded KWD 2.72 billion

Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) issued on Tuesday bonds and related tawarruq worth KWD 200 million, with a 2.25% return rate, which is the lowest since May 2018.

The three-month bond issuance matures on 16 June 2020, according to data released by the CBK on Tuesday.

Furthermore, the offering was oversubscribed 13.58 times, while the total demand recording KWD 2.72 billion.

On Monday, the CBK slashed its discount rate by 1% to 1.5% in an attempt to offset the economic impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) on the local market and national economy.
