Egypt’s local liquidity rises to EGP 4.2trn in February
The money supply increased to EGP 1.004 trillion

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s local liquidity continued its upward trend that started with the flotation of the Egyptian pound exchange rate in November 2016.

The North African nation’s local liquidity amounted to EGP 4.187 trillion in February, compared to EGP 4.14 trillion a month earlier, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

Year-on-year, the domestic liquidity rose by 14% from EGP 3.67 trillion in February 2019.

In addition, the money supply increased to EGP 1.004 trillion last February from EGP 840.5 billion in the corresponding month a year earlier.
