EGX ends Sunday down; market cap drops EGP 15bn
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 878.5 million

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a negative note.

The benchmark EGX30 index fell by 3.36% to end at 10,199 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI declined by 3.7% to 1,179 points, while the broader EGX100 index went down by 2.89% to 1,101 points.

Similarly, the EGX50 index retreated by 4.39% to 1,561 points.

The market cap value lost EGP 15 billion to close at EGP 556.4 billion.

Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 229.93 million and EGP 3.52 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 233.45 million.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 878.5 million after 394.8 million shares were exchanged through about 37,880 transactions.
