Egypt brings home additional 450 stranded expats from Kuwait
The air bridge between Egypt and Kuwait started last Tuesday

Cairo – Mubasher: The air bridge between Egypt and Kuwait continued on Wednesday for the second consecutive day bringing home nearly 450 stranded Egyptian citizens via three Kuwait Airways flights.

Each flight carried around 150 passengers who were transported by buses from their dedicated shelters to the Kuwait International Airport six hours before takeoff, according to the Middle East News Agency (MENA).

All returning nationals underwent several preventive procedures in the Kuwait airport as part of the precautionary measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19).

On Tuesday, EgyptAir ran two exceptional flights to return 580 citizens stuck in the Gulf state, whose majority included women, children, and the elderly.

The repatriated passengers were transferred to university dormitories where they will be quarantined for 14 days.

It is noteworthy that the move is part of Egypt’s efforts to bring home all nationals stranded overseas.
