UAE – Mubasher: The UAE detected 502 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, recording 16,240 cases in total since the outbreak of the pandemic, the Emirati Ministry of Health announced on Thursday.

The death toll reached 165 after eight new deaths of different nationalities had been confirmed.

Meanwhile, 213 cases have recovered to raise the total number of recoveries to 3,572.

It is noteworthy to mention that on Wednesday, 6 May, 546 new cases were reported, bringing the total number to 15,738.
