Kuwait begins full curfew for 20 days
The curfew will start at 4 p.m. local time today

Mubasher: Kuwait will enact a total curfew starting from Sunday, 10 May, through to 30 May based on the requirements of health bodies following the completion of the grand repatriation plan bringing stranded citizens from abroad, according to a statement by the Kuwaiti cabinet on Friday.

The curfew will start at 4 p.m. local time in light of the preventive and precautionary measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19) spread.

Only people working in essential and vital sectors will be allowed to work during the curfew. Moreover, only necessary public sectors will be operating while private sector activities will be suspended, unless exempt.

People will be allowed to exercise anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. every day inside residential areas, without using any vehicles, but will be required to wear protective masks.

On Saturday, the Gulf state confirmed 415 more coronavirus cases, bringing its total number of confirmed cases to 7,623.
