Mubasher: The Kuwaiti government affirmed that it will not extend the full lockdown for another period but will enact a partial curfew to pave the way for the restoration of normal life, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Monday.
More details regarding the gradual restoration of life will be announced next Thursday, said the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Deputy Premier and Interior Ministry Anas Al Saleh.
Earlier this month, Kuwait enforced a full curfew, effective from 10 May until 30 May, in an attempt to combat the growing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
On a more positive note, the Kuwaiti government will honour all employees working during the pandemic crisis, according to the statement.
Kuwait has reported to date a total number of 21,967 COVID-19 infections, 165 deaths, and 6,621 recoveries.
