Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decided to extend the exemption of EGP-denominated transfers from all fees and charges until 15 September.
This decision is part of the government’s efforts to limit the use of cash as a precautionary measure against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), according to a statement late on Sunday.
It is noteworthy to mention that in March, the CBE ordered banks not to charge any fees on local transfers for three months.
