EGX30 ends Monday lower amid foreign, Arab selloffs
The market cap value retreated by EGP 2.2 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a varied note with the main EGX30 index falling by 0.58% to 11,007 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 0.87% to end at 1,549 points, while the EGX100 EWI increased by 0.68% to 2,385 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 index climbed by 1.07% to close at 1,869 points.

The market cap value retreated by EGP 2.2 billion to EGP 604.5 billion.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 585.8 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 84.4 million and EGP 501.4 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.8 billion after 859.6 million shares were traded through about 47,900 transactions.
