EGX ends Thursday down on foreign selloffs
The market cap value retreated by EGP 5.75 billion .

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session on a negative note with its main EGX30 index sliding by 1.66% to 10,441 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI fell by 2.45% to 1,425 points, while the EGX100 EWI declined by 2.27% to 2,202 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 index went down by 1.78% to 1,743 points.

The market cap value retreated by EGP 5.75 billion to EGP 574.9 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 57.8 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 38.03 million and EGP 19.7 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 817.14 million after 296.06 million shares were traded through nearly 34,500 transactions.
