Boursa Kuwait closes down for fourth day
All market indices ended the session in losses

Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait declined for the fourth consecutive session on Sunday, as S&P lowered its outlook for Kuwait to negative, and with news about the Emir of Kuwait being hospitalised for medical tests.

The premiere market and all-share indices lost 1.18% and 1.05% respectively, while the main market and BK main 50 indices decreased by 0.69% and 0.51%.

The Kuwaiti stock exchange recovered some losses at closing after it was announced that the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, had a successful surgery.

Market liquidity increased by 62.3% compared with the previous session to KWD 36.32 million, while traded volumes rose by 14.1% to 159.07 million shares.

Seven market sectors closed in red, led by the real estate index that lost 1.55%, while three sectors ended in the green zone.

Tamdeen Investment topped the losing stocks, dropped by 8.4%, while IFA Hotels led the gainers and added 6%.

AUB-Bahrain was the most actively traded stock with 36.44 million shares with the highest turnover of KWD 6.73 million.
