UAE successfully launches first Arab interplanetary mission
The Hope Probe Mission will provide images of Mars

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE's Hope probe, the first Arab interplanetary mission, was successfully launched from Japan's Tanegashima Space Centre aboard a Mitsubishi H-IIA rocket on Monday at 1:58 am (UAE Time) to begin its journey to Mars.

The Emirates Mars Mission will provide images of Mars to better understand the atmosphere of the Red Planet when it reaches the planet's orbit in February 2021, which marks the UAE's 50th anniversary.

It will also explain the structure and variability of Hydrogen and Oxygen in the upper atmosphere, in addition to measuring dust storms on the plant and comparing them with the short and localized dust storms on earth.

The mission will collect and send the data to the Science Data Centre in the UAE to be analysed and shared by the Emirates Mars Mission science team.

It is noteworthy to mention that the UAE has previously delayed the launch of the Hope probe two times due to unstable weather conditions in Japan.
