This part of Mubadala's target to focus sustainable investments

UAE – Mubasher: Mubadala Investment Company has invested more than $150 million in recapitalising the US-based Enviva, the world's largest producer of industrial wood pellets used in generating electricity.

Mubadala's investment in Enviva is part of its objective to focus on sustainable and effective investments, the Abu Dhabi-based global funding firm disclosed on its official Twitter account.

Previously, Enviva announced the completion of the recapitalisation of more than $1 billion, which includes the commitment of Riverstone Holdings' subsidiaries to raise the capital.

The US-based company enables major utilities across the world to replace coal and fossil fuels with low-carbon energy resources.

It is noteworthy to mention that in June, Mubadala has allocated AED 4.4 billion for Indian telco and digital services firm Jio Platforms in exchange for around 1.85% stake.
