Cairo – Mubasher: Edita Food Industries reported consolidated net profits of EGP 93.78 million in the first half (H1) of 2020, down by 44% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 167.8 million.

The company’s sales fell to EGP 1.73 billion in the January-June period, compared to EGP 1.84 billion in the corresponding period in 2019, according to a bourse disclosure on Wednesday.

In addition, Edita’s standalone net profits retreated to EGP 129.66 million in H1-20 from EGP 150.6 million in H1-19.

It is worth mentioning that during the first three months of the year, Edita achieved net profits of EGP 83.06 million, down from EGP 124.92 million in the year-ago period.
