Egypt to develop EGP 164bn developmental projects
The investment plan include the national social housing project

Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt will implement 25 national developmental projects worth EGP 164 billion as part of its investment plan for fiscal year 2020/2021, the minister of planning and economic development, Hala El-Saeed, announced on Thursday.

El-Saeed said that Egypt pays great attention to national developmental projects to provide job opportunities for youth and stimulate economic growth in different sectors.

The investment plan includes the national social housing project at a total value of EGP 21 billion, Suez Canal axis development project worth EGP 19.9 billion, the national road network project worth EGP 16.9 billion, and the new administrative capital worth EGP 15.5 billion.

In addition, the EGP 4 billion comprehensive health insurance system, the rail network development project valued at EGP 13.9 billion, and the metro network's expansion and development project valued at EGP 12.3 billion will be carried out.

As for the electric sector, Egypt's first El Dabaa nuclear power plant, including four third-generation nuclear reactors, and photovoltaic and wind power stations will also be developed.
