Cairo – Mubasher: The board of directors of Orascom Development Egypt (ODE) announced the appointment of Omar El-Hamamsy as CEO effective 1 September.

El-Hamamsy joins ODE from McKinsey & Company where he serves as a senior partner in the Middle East office and was previously in the Belgium office, according to a bourse disclosure on Tuesday.

The appointment of El-Hamamsy is the end of the interim roles created in February for the transitional phase.

Abdelhamid Abouyoussef, who acted as the company’s ad-interim CEO, has been appointed as the chairman of Orascom Hotels Management (OHM).
