Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of local and Arab purchases.
The main EGX30 index rose by 0.19%, ending the session at 10,620 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX100 EWI advanced by 1.94% to 2,398 points.
Similarly, the EGX100 EWI climbed by 1.96% to 2,398 points, while the EGX50 EWI increased by 2.02% to 1,847 points.
The market cap gained EGP 4.2 billion to EGP 589.748 billion.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 203.7 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 177.8 million and EGP 25.8 million, respectively.
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.24 billion after 501.5 million shares were exchanged through nearly 38,390 transactions.
