Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a positive note, supported by local and Arab purchases.
The main EGX30 index rose by 0.79% to end at 10,704 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI increased by 0.88% to 1,579 points.
Likewise, the EGX100 EWI grew by 0.96% to 2,421 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI climbed by 1.19% to 1,869 points.
The market cap value increased by EGP 3.7 billion to EGP 593.522 billion.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 97.47 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 88.47 million and EGP 9.001 million, respectively.
The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.25 billion after 498.7 million shares were exchanged through around 42,600 transactions.
