Cairo – Mubasher: Alexandria Customs collected EGP 3.5 billion in customs duties, taxes, and other charges during July.

The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Alexandria port amounted to EGP 683.1 million during the seventh month of 2020, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Monday.

Moreover, the value-added tax (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods reached EGP 2.9 billion during the month, the statement showed.

The imported goods included wheat, meat, corn, chemicals, sugar, cars, and spare parts.
