Mubasher: National Mobile Telecommunications Company (Ooredoo) has appointed Abdulaziz Yacoub Al Babtain as the new CEO of Ooredoo Kuwait, according to the company's disclosure to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on Wednesday.

With over 20-year experience in telecommunications, technology, and sales, Al Babtain is occupying the position of the chief business officer of Ooredoo Kuwait.

Before joining Ooredoo, he was the chief operating officer at FASTtelco.

It is noteworthy to mention that in 2019, Ooredoo's net profit grew by 1% year-on-year (YoY) to KWD 30.1 million.
